I think that both HW3 and HW4 are empirically safer than normal drivers, so I feel quite safe in both. A lot of the crashes later turn out to be a result of human error... like FSD was on, but the person pushed the accelerator by accident or something. It's definitely not perfect and you're supposed to pay attention (and definitely need to with HW3).
