Well, I would say I am in a third group: I've been using AI for months, and I think it's very good and useful at some things, but it still sucks at others. In particular, I've found it very useful to generate boilerplate and UI. But when it comes to complicated logic or working with large codebases... It's still quite lackluster :/. AI has saved me many hours of work, but I've also wasted some trying to make it do something it just isn't capable of (though overall I would agree it's saved me time).
Having said that, I would agree that things are changing. And maybe some years (or even months!) from now, it'll really be the all-capable assistant that you say it is. But many people have been saying this for months, and I still keep running against its limitations. We'll see.

Back to the full conversationMostly I have been using Cursor with Claude 3.7 and 4.0. I still have to try the CLI-based tools, though I don't think they will make too much of a difference.
To be clear, I do agree that it's a massive boost, and it'll keep getting better. I just thought your post was too optimistic, at least for today's capabilities, and I wanted to push back a little :).
TYNAN! You definitely nailed BTC. You're good at finding good stuff early. Do you still think crypto has a future, or it descends whilst AI rises, and are you still as convicted on ETH?

Have you used Claude Code with Opus 4.0? I think it's MUCH better than anything else. I've wasted time on things too, but overall it's such a massive boost.
