Apple, Android, PC. Let's talk about it. What do I like about Apple? Facetime, airdrop, wifi texting, Mac and iPhone "just work" together with photos, history, files, apps, etc. etc. If you can access it on your iPhone you can access it on your Mac with no intervention. You can tell I'm non technical. But that's the point. Would us non technical folk get along with a Samsung phone and a Lenovo laptop. Would we have to initiate all sorts of synching. Would our phone and laptop even communicate. Can that configuration "just work" with a bit of forethought? Or should us "layman" stick to Apple and leave the Samsung/Lenovo combo to the pros? Insights? Resources?

Back to the full conversationFor me I teach online and I fell in love with the iPhone as webcam feature. Also the MBA battery life. I’m sure there is comparable features with windows/android/linux and I would certainly like the mba to be 2lb like the old MacBook. But end of the day I just never need to think about my setup which is what I want in all my gear.

Honestly for non-technical people, Apple is still probably best. Windows has gotten so bad I don't think I could recommend it to anyone, and Linux is probably too big a jump for anyone who's not technical (or at least interested in this stuff).
