Interesting what you say about principle and practice in regards to denim…
I’ve tried for years to find the right trousers. Plain merino not tough enough. Outlier SDs not stretchy enough, bag out etc.
I find myself always coming back to denim despite its many drawbacks. It just goes with everything, is easily replaceable, and makes matching other clothes very easy. It’s that Expected Value thing you’ve mentioned before Tynan. The time and effort saved in just wearing jeans is much more valuable to me than finding the perfect pant.
I’ve got my shirts, T-shirt’s, shorts and jacket down to perfection. Same models. Same colours. They break down, I just buy a like for like replacement. Saves a lot of time and bother.
In that spirit I’m gonna limit myself to various tech denim fabrics now for trousers. Will give these W&P a try. Duer also look interesting.
If anyone knows any EU based equivalents, I’d be keen to try. I’ve seen the Seagale tencel denim, not aware of any others.
