I used to always make my popcorn on top the stove until I discovered the Stir Crazy. But occasionaly I have a problem with only about 1/3 or the kernals popping. Does anyone else have that problem? I use 2-3 T of olive oil (healthier) and about 3/4 C popcorn and remove the plastic cover so steam escapes. I agree that Orville Redenbacker is the best. But about every 6-7 batches I have the problem of a poor pop. This is my 2nd popper & I had the same problem with the other popper. In fact, that's why I replaced it. I've had this problem since it was new.
