Reply to TOKYO MEETUP!
Have a great meetup. I was just in HK yesterday - had I known all the cool kids were in Tokyo, I would have re-directed. Alas, I'm back in SF today.

It's true, being consistent is much better than on and off activity. I like how you presented it by degree.
Two questions: 1. What are you programming SETT in? and 2. How much fluency do you make your goal in your languages?
It's hard to say what Ben just said eloquently as well as back it up by data. But for those of you who perceive the government as a game for the masses, I too believe you are mistaken. It feels great to give money to a good cause.. to have hope. So, maybe it's not all bad. But does anybody really understand how politics works? Like.. why on earth would billions of dollars need to flow to hire somebody to do a job that makes $250K per year. Do the math. The more money that flows from source A, the more likely source A gets some huge benefit$. Unless you're part of the flow.. then get out of the game and invest your time in creating something that creates a flow for you and yours.
Chuck, thanks for the post. That's the first time I've heard anybody describe how laziness can be addictive. He also says that taking lots of action can help us get back to reality because we won't be comfortable with the rationalizations that our brain tries to offer up when we don't feel like doing something. I started at 1:07:xx Good stuff.
