You can find a lot of information on the internet. On the other hand information alone doesn't help that much. If you can give advice that actually does change people's life that's valuable to them. There's nothing wrong with getting payed for providing people with value.

Diamonds are effectively sold by a monopoly run by De Beers. Diamonds that aren't certified by them are seen as "confilct diamonds" and decent people are supposed to shun them. Everyone who buys noncertified diamonds is funding the slaughter of innocents, you know?

Even if dianosaurs aren't the cause, oil fields don't seem to be filling up again at a decent speed and we are now going after irresponsible sources such as tar sands.

Few people hold serious amount of money in a non-interest bearing acount for long term investment. An investement in treasure bonds of 10k would be 150k in 2011 ( http://people.stern.nyu.edu/adamodar/New_Home_Page/datafile/histret.html ). Yes, you have to factor in inflation afterwards you have something like 55k.

Given the recent price hike in Gold price there a good chance that Gold is at the moment in a bouble like it was in 1980.

If you want to hold gold for the long term you are also making a bet that asteroid mining for Gold won't crash the Gold price. We drill for oil in the ocean but don't mine for minerals in the ocean. With better robots it could be profitable to start mining on the ocean floor.

If you brought Gold in 1980 you would have to wait 26 years till you could sell Gold for the same price you brought it. Historically Gold isn't really a good store of value.

If your goal is owning a company that brings you automated income, how will having things to put on your resume help?

I think making an internship with a startup is still a reasonable choice.

Otherwise consider to invest that time into an actual project that could become a stream of passive income.

What do you want to do after college? What skills do you already have?

Without knowing those things it's hard to give good advice.

Online connection are useful but don't underestimate the importance of finding people who shares your views that you can meet face to face. Humans are social creatures and we strive of interacting with people who understand us. It's worthwhile to live in a city where there are people who at least share some of your views and aren't lost in the mainstream.

Don't underestimate the effort required to fit into mainstream society. I don't think the mainstream really flows much anymore. It's more like a still sea than a river.

You don't want to follow the mainstream thought and up with a midlife crisis in your thirties because you find your life meaningless.

Congratualtion to getting back on track :)

I'm not American but German and live in the beautiful cosmopolitcan city called Berlin.

I understand that the US has a lot of diversity. You have fat people who live in the Bible belt who don't believe in evolution.

On the other hand you also have things like Burning Man. You don't have to live in "mainstream culture".

Two decades ago an book review in a major mainstream publication made a book. The same isn't true anymore. Mainstream media is a lot weeker than it was two decades ago.

Today the person who can sell the most books is Oprah. Oprah doesn't represent a consensus position. Her relationship with her audience is a different one from the relationship that a New York Times book reviewer has with his audience.

This paragraph is worrysome. Two days without any iron intake are not enough to produce a iron definincy. Red blood cells have a half-life of 50-55 days. Everyone who knows much about nutrition should know that there won't be a effect from 2-3 days without iron. If you market your product to a health conscious audience it's strange to have "soy" in the name when there no soy in the product.

This means that the guy isn't someone who's nutrition expertise I would hold as an authority.for the amount that we need of various substances.

This seems again naive. I wouldn't trust those substances to have a high bioavailability when you buy them straight from the lab supply store.

In general I find the idea however interesting. I wouldn't switch my whole nutritition permanently for supplements but doing it every second day seems plausible.

Even if I spent a lot of time together with my sister, I won't fall in love with her. Her being pretty doesn't change something about it. Even without the MHC-complex thing, there's a strong cultural idea against considering your siblings as relationship partners.

Human are more complex than a simple formula.

Well, you do seem to have some conception of past lives and reincarnation. From where did you get yours? Reading? You don't seem like the guy who does past-life regressions for fun.
