Can't subscribe or unsubscribe to SETT blogs. Clicking "subscribe" on drodio doesn't do anything. Also tested unsubscribing from sebastian's blog, and no result.

I'm on chrome and windows 7.

I like reading your and SebastianMarshall's blog post in my Kindle. I send both of your blog post to my kindle but the problem is that it doesn't display the Title of the blog post. It displays TYNAN or SEBASTIAN MARSHALL instead of blog post title.

There should be blog post title instead of SEBASTIAN MARSHALL. There is no way to figure out the blog post. Whenever I send WordPress Hosted blog posts to my kindle it shows the blog posts title at the left and authors name at the right side.
It would be easier to navigate if we could see the name of the blog post.

The old RSS feed stopped working after April 14. Tricky, since people that read only via RSS might not necessarily notice the absence of your posts.

The front page of the blog (not the community side) currently says "Create New Post You're a curator of this blog, so you can post here." I'm probably not supposed to see that.

When I tried to enter sebastianmarshall.com but it says,"Unable to select DB".

He hasn't pointed www.sebastianmarshall.com over yet. Remove the www and it will work. I'll remind him again, too.

I found a typo and also possibly a bug.

When replying to a private message a popup opened asking me to login. The messages said "Great! Now we need to who you are to post this" I think it's supposed to read "Great! Now we need to know who you are to post this."

The bug(?) is that it even asked me to login since I was already reading a private message, so clearly I must be logged in already.

Yep, I've been having to log-in often too, even though it's saved to remember me.

Could you guys try deleting your sett.com cookies and logging in again? I believe that the login problem is a result of having our old cookies which weren't valid for the subdomains that we now use.

That seems to have resolved it as far as I can tell. Thanks!

The back-button sometimes works unpredictably. Most recently it changed search parameters after visiting a post from the search-view and going back.

I can't replicate this, but it doesn't totally surprise me. Let me know the specific path you took when it does happen, so that I can track down the problem.
BTW, you should fill out your profile and upload a picture...

Will do.
@ Update profile: Interestingly enough, this leads to another bug report. I can't click "Update Settings". I can change them, but the button neither changes the mouse pointer nor has any effect. JavaScript is activated.

No, still doesn't exactly work for me. The avatar-upload seems to work somewhat, but not completely.

Ahh, okay... working on it. For now you can switch your avatar if you go to sett.com/tynan and do it there (it's a domain issue).

When visiting this website with a mobile device (in my case Android/Galaxy Nexus) the line-length is screwed up. (text sits crammed to the left)

For problems like this I like the recent CSS concept of "Graceful Degradation" or "Responsive Web Design" (e.g. http://coding.smashingmagazine.com/2011/01/12/guidelines-for-responsive-web-design/ ), a separate mobile site with browser switch might not even be necessary. This is more of an alternative feature suggestion

SETT Survey!

SETT has gotten to the point that I'm spending less time putting out fires and stomping bugs, and more time trying to think about how people are using it and how I can make that better.

As you've probably noticed, I'm working really hard to write two solid blog posts per week, even though my life is consumed with SETT right now. If you could give me back a few minutes of your time to answer this SETT survey, it would really mean a lot to me.

SETT SURVEY IS HERE. CLICK ME.

I never fill out surveys online because I sort of imagine that they get sent to the digital equivalent of a dark moldy basement somewhere and never get read. NOT THIS ONE. I will personally be reading every single reply, and will take all feedback very seriously. After all, I'm making SETT to help build communities and give some of the power back to the readers. So if I don't listen to readers... who else can I listen to?

Speaking of which, I feel like I owe a huge debt of gratitude to each of my readers. Just by reading my site and interacting with it, not to mention all the valuable bug reports you've sent me, you've had a huge hand in building SETT. If I didn't have a real live community reading my site, it would be impossible for me to test things out. There have been glitches along the way, and I appreciate everyone having patience. Thank you.

There Are Fifty Blogs on SETT Now!

Last Friday night, after two years of really hard work on SETT, we sent invite codes out to the four hundred people on the SETT waiting list, offering fifty spots. Whoever managed to snag a spot could either take a free basic account or buy a premium account and get 50% off for life.

The main point of releasing these spots is to start testing SETT on a wider scale, to get more feedback, and to begin work on some really cool blog to blog features. So if no one actually paid for an account, and everyone just took free ones to mess around with, I would have been satisfied. I figured maybe one or two people might pay, and maybe things would go really well and five people would pay.

As it turns out, thirteen people bought accounts, covering all three price points that we set. More than the actual money, which I've already used to upgrade the servers, I'm personally touched that people are excited enough about SETT to pay for it. I've worked so hard on this and continue to narrowly focus on making it the best blogging platform, that it's moving to have people who share the vision.

I'm also grateful for the people who set up free accounts and have already started using them. Many of the paid and unpaid SETT customers are members of this site who are active in the community section and comments, so I have high expectations for all of their blogs. As they get settled in, import their old blogs, and write new posts, I'll be linking to some of them here. Next Monday I will link to every new SETT blog that has at least one post on it.
