So, here we are. With a couple hours to go before I'm stuck on a boat with spotty and expensive internet, I've moved everything over to Tynan.net.
This site will be a combination of Better Than Your Boyfriend, Life Nomadic, and even Best in the Land. The posts for these blogs have been imported, and those sites will soon all redirect here.
The forums are still on the old domain, but they have the new look and will be integrated soon enough.
I'd like to write more but I still have to pack, eat, and shower. There may be a few glitches here and there. Unsatisfied with any downloadable themes for Wordpress, I coded my own from the ground up. At the very least I have tested it with IE and Firefox. If you have any problems with it, please leave a comment about it.
Looks great! Congrats on the new site man. And on coding for Wordpress from scratch. I tried that for my site, but gave up a few hours into it.
I'm really liking the new look and feel of the site and approve of the whole switch! good job and good luck! :D
Love the new site. Updated my link and the feed still looks great on my phone. Even more to read on the tube!
This move to the new domain sounded like it was a good idea immediately to me. Seeing the result confirms it. Night and day improvement I think. A MUCH more appropriate domain name for what you are using this for these days. I like the look of the site. Look forward to reading your stuff when you get a chance to post. Enjoy your trip.
Hey! Reporting a nice looking site in Google Chrome.
You know, I just checked BTYB feed today and was surprised with all the new posts. I had not checked it in a while, well... you know why.
So, I wish you the best and I hope this works out for you. Seems like a right decision to me.
Very awesome - seems to work fine for me in Firefox and Chrome.
Had a quick look through the archives, the LN posts seem to have transfered across fine along with the BTYB posts, but I cant see any BITL posts.
Hey Tynan.....I think this is a GREAT improvement. I enjoy your following your posts.
I would love to see more "best in the land", gear reviews and feedback.
I haven't been super motivated to write here for the past two weeks. I started two posts, got sick of them, and now they're sitting as drafts. One's about having even less stuff and the other is about radical honesty. Maybe I'll finish soon.
Instead I'll just write about what's on my mind, because otherwise who knows when I'll post next.
First the main reason I haven't been excited about posting - I'm making a new product. Not a pickup product, though.
Okay, now that I have done my run-through of 2009 over the past few posts, I now have one more thing do to before it's back to business here at Where Pianos Roam. I wanted to take a little time to look into the future. Namely, I wanted to share insights into what I hope to be doing in 2010. I've always been very selective about the projects I take on, and after much thought these are the top priorities over the next 12 months. First off, here is a list of what I know will be happening all year long . . .
Now, here is a run-through of the new works in progress for 2010
I've been working on new music for quite some time now, and I've more or less mapped out a plan of action to bring this new music to fruition. A formal announcement will be soon forthcoming. Just know that it is most definitely in the works. This is one of the biggest priorities this year, and there is the tallest mountain of work to get started on.
I have some expansion plans for these two. Not only will there be more episodes, but plans are being made to broaden their online site and create more exposure. This is my wacky little side project, and it's gotten a great response from just about everywhere. I don't really understand why, but I think mainly it's because they're just so darn cute.
In a lot of ways, 2010 will be a year of reckoning for me. There are issues I need to resolve and plans I need to make. I'll be the first to admit that there are several aspects of my life that aren't up for public exposure and that I do not discuss on this blog, on stage, or in any public forum. Some things are better left unspoken. Suffice it to say that I will be slaying some dragons this year, and I'm gonna fight to the finish. I have a lot of other little projects, but I'd say these are the big three. There will be so much to do. I can't wait to get all of these new adventures started. In fact, I already have . . . More soon my friends. -g
