Really? Do you honestly take yourself seriously? You have your own name plastered on the background of your blog. You cannot be this lame. This has got to be a joke. For the sake of humanity I hope this is a joke. Has anyone here actually READ that little intro paragraph? As for the content all I have to say is…what? I’m SURE you have climbed to the top of the pickup and gambling community. I’m SURE. Your post is vague and anyone can get this information ANYWHERE. This is like social engineering 101. You don’t provide me anything that a 10 year old coundldn’t provide. Get real. Get some talent. Quit lying to yourself. Maybe if you call youself an egomaniac, you should have something to be egomaniacal about. You don’t.

Interesting post on how to rise to the top of your community. However, it is merely an outline, with no actual advice of how to go about getting to the top.

First off, you need a lot of drive. You need to be able to create motivation for yourself and believe that you have the capability to reach the top.

Then, you need to do a lot of work. You will never be in the top 1% academically if you do no work, even if you’re a genius. You will never be a professional athlete if you don’t already live the life of one and play your sport on average six hours a day, maybe four if you’re a physical genius. Getting to the top takes focus and lots of work.

Third, you need networking skills. You need to be able to not only demonstrate value related to the area you are trying to excel in, but you must also be able to bond socially with other members of the group.

I’d say you gave a good outline of what is needed, but you could really turn this into a 1000 page college course book. It’s a very complex subject. There’s a reason so few get to the top – people either don’t care or they just don’t know how.

You talk about your cool posts like the Ghetto Pool as the draw to your blog, but it’s not how I found it. While your stories are REALLY cool, there are other cool stories out there. I found your blog in my research of polyphasic sleep. At least 4 or 5 places pointed me here, sometimes as the ONLY example of a successful polynapper. Face it man – if there’s a polynapping scene, you are a KING!

I think one example, going with the pick up community, was the way that Shark/BadBoy started the entire direct vs indirect flame war. Whether intentional or not, it certainly started a different trend that had those guys at the top of a different wave. And it started simply enough with a whole lot of flaming and calling people on their shit.

Hm…this is totally true. At the beginning I tried to rush the top, and I was doing wery well but after some time I realized that the community went to shit (about the time Project Holywood ended) and I quit. Im still in the game for miself and my best friends (whom are all PUAs hehe) but the idea of community is out of the picture. Money spoiled it all and I just dont trust anyone who is making some money out of it. I guess I do like some guys and think that there are some really smart people there, but are buerried under a tone of newbies that lack the quality earlier generations had.
