Studying is the kind of thing I look forward to doing all the time at night once I'm on this solid. That way I can enjoy my days and the outdoors plenty. But for now, it's tough.
I feel like I'm usually mentally between 85-90% during the day and less during the night. To study, especially boring stuff you're not interested in, you really have to be in the 95-100% range.
I'm writing a paper right now, and it's normally much easier to write than this. Same with the studying I did for a test I took Monday morning. But it is possible, so that makes me happy.
Still feeling great, although I notice my eyes are a bit inclined to close right now. Hoepfully that will go away within a few more minutes. I had a super long and complicated dream somehow... very interesting. Day 9, baby!
Just made it through the tough one.... The 6-8ish evening nap is the hardest one for me... often times redering me as useless as chopsticks. Not today, however. I'm ready to take on the whole night, and then the whole week, and then some.
Ty!!
I am totally on the boat. I just had a little set back. I did sleep for 5 1/2 hours in one stretch, so I am just starting my count over. Tonight will be night #1 again, for bet purposes. That puts night 14 on November 27th. I can handle that.
Manish: No. You don't have to start over according to me. The cut off on oversleeping should be 4 hours. That is half a night's sleep. I decided to start over, cause I woke up feeling so great and rested. So I knew that I totally fucked up the sleep pattern by over sleeping so much.
Apparently I didn't even set my alarm this time. Although now I've acertained my magic oversleep number is 2 hours. Does this mean I have to start over?...Just say the word, I need a YES or NO from both Neetu and Ty on this one.
Last night I had the most vivid dream yet. I had no idea dreaming could be so intense. I was at school, but it was in front of this DAM that had just blown over. I swear I could feel the water...very intense.
I set my alarm on that dream for only 20 mins. I don't really know why, but for some reason I felt like I had to try that out to see how I'd feel. It was about the same as the standard 30, although the REM time was cut short by the alarm, which went off right in the middle of the intense dreaming.
Feeling pretty good. A bit more drowsy than my last couple naps, but definitely fully functional (or as close as I get anyway).
Neetu! Get back on the boat.
Nick's on the boat now... he doesn't think it's hard enough so he does pushups when he wakes up. He just doesn't know what we know.
I just woke up. Slept for 5 and a half hours on the sofa. Damn it! Puts me back on day 1. the count starts over. Oh well, I will make it to 14!!!!!!!!!!! I refuse to lose my $1500.
Manish attempted to wake me up a couple of times. He warned me that I was going to fall asleep, but was I going to listen....NO. cause I was dumb and sleepy!.
We put down $1500 for 14 days, so I am assuming that the start date is the 21st like we originally stated, cause otherwise I'm screwed.
In bed at 4:30, dream, awake at 4:45. I'm totally alert and feeling great. Xbox helped keep me occupied (ironically setting it up took more time than playing), so I'll continue to use that until I am in "The Zone".
Overall I feel great and can't wait to conquer another day. I'm going to be so happy when I go two days in a row without being too sleepy.
Half an hour until my next nap and I'm going strong... not really very tired. Light at the end of the tunnel? PLease?
