Neetu- Post # 2 Successful Nap/letter

after 2 naps that were less than satisfactory, I was able to get in a great nap. My body is craving a full night's rest,so I did not wake up feeling totally rested. I feel like I would after a night with 8 hours of sleep, but waking up on the "wrong" side of the bed. Just a little bit sluggish I suppose.

Manish's after nap comment:"For some reason, all of my tiredness is in my left eye" very funny and bizarre.

okay, continuing on....The first few minutes after waking up are pretty foggy, but after a little while my mind totally clears out and I can function again without thinking about my next nap.

One Month of P90X

On New Blog

Today I finished Yoga X, and thus, since it is week 4, one month of P90X. Tomorrow is a rest/stretch day, so come Sunday, I'll be in phase 2.

So here are my thoughts after one phase. I have kept detailed notes almost every day, but this is more of a summation of my first 28 days.

First Week- The first week is the toughest, as everyone says. I could do about half of the first three workouts, but once Yoga X came around, I felt a lot better. My estimation of the first two workouts was that P90X is easier than crossfit.

Nights- I had been having this weird thing happen, almost like a panic attack or a histamine reaction, at nights after doing cardio. Before P90X, I had been running three times a week as my only exercise. I call it "night fever", it's where my body seems to get hot, my heart rate speeds to about 80-90, and my nostrils get kind of congested. Perhaps it is due to allergies, although I think I got it once up in Wisconsin during the winter. Either way, it happened a little on the first two nights, and then never again but like once barely randomly. Maybe it was all in my head, but I decided to breathe through it if it ever comes on or I feel it. Also, note that I started working out after sunset as opposed to before. If it's allergies, that would explain it.

Nutrition is Important- In addition to night fever, I get this weird shit where my heart rate goes up into 80-90 depending on my posture and what I've eaten and it feels like a switch has been turned on. Fuck that. I hate it. I had my worst bout about two months before starting P90X, after eating three appetizers from Applebees at 1 AM. Fuck that shit. I can't stress it enough, seriously damn that symptom to hell. I've pretty much stuck to the nutrition plan in P90X, but one time I deviated and ate a Whataburger Chop House Cheddar Burger at 1:30 AM. When I layed down at like 4, guess who showed up? That fucker did. I couldn't really sleep until it was much more digested. And the burger wasn't as good as I had remembered. Screw unhealthy food, I'm sticking with the good stuff.
