Check out my bestselling book on habits, Superhuman by Habit. .
Hey Tynan, I was wondering if you remember or have analytics for how long it took to get to a 1,000 subscribers? We've been working hard on our blog for a few months now, but, we've both been probably a little bit disappointed with the growth we've achieved. I know that so much of how many hits we get is a direct correlation to how hard I work on the web/fb/twitter, but eventually lord knows I'd like to just have some type of community there that works with us instead of something we fight for.
Anyway, I've been reading Tynan.com for a few years, but I'd like to know more about how it was in the beginning.
Three days or so ago, Tynan published a short post in the Community section:
"Check out the tutorial at http://dotsies.org
I did the whole thing and can read in it now. I love the idea of fully converting my computer over to it for higher information density, and so that no one understands what I'm reading or writing. [...]"
"What is this 'Dotsies'?", you might ask - just as I did.
I love Easter. Easter means Spring has officially arrived, the weather is warming up, and I am starting to get ripped.
In High School and College I remember Easter vacation being the time that I trained the hardest. It was always a week off from school where I could train without distractions, and get into really good shape. Gym during the day, running in the afternoon, and abs all night long.
Easter is also a lot less stress than the other major holidays. I need to drink all throughout the Christmas season just to stay sane. On Easter I hardly have to spend any money, I only go to one family party, and besides carrying some chairs into the dining room I don't have to do shit.
I think it is time for me to set some hardcore goals that I will try my hardest to follow. We are already 3 months into 2012, so I will schedule out my itineray up until the end of August:
So yesterday I thought I was having a heart attack:
About 4:30 pm at work my heart started racing, I was WIDE awake on the train ride home (which is insane for a Friday), and it didn't stop pounding until after the gym at around 6:30.
I have over trained myself before in the past, but I haven't been going THAT crazy recently . I added some cardio recently, and I've been going 6x a week, but for me that is average.
#1. I just got a Rialta (I'm the guy who posted on the old forum about getting a LeSharo... well, I upgraded). But the previous owner removed the pull-out table where you would put a laptop. I'm trying to make my own and wondered what the dimensions are (height, width, and depth both with and without the table actually pulled out). Apparently Winnebago no longer makes these. I've found a third-party option, but am worried it might be too big:(http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/oak-finish-wall-table/44376)
#2. I'm not a fan of the new forum layout. Maybe it's just because I'm a conservative, and I fear change. Or because of my fundamentalist religious convictions that tell me anything I don't understand is of the devil. I just feel more comfortable when things are arranged in categories and such. So, ultimately, it's probably more about my anal retentiveness. In any case, take it with a grain of salt.
I really like the interface and forum like community space.
On a tablet it can be hard to vote though. Could the up/down buttons be made bigger for portable media devices?
Congrats on getting v1 out the door. I am very excited for you and your team. Let me know if I can help in any way.
