Gas prices have nothing to do with the fact that we don't drill more. CBO, which is not a partisan group, already said that even if we drilled it'd take years before we could fully utilize it. OPEC determines the price of gas, period.
China is also the world's largest producer in solar panels to the point that the US levied a tariff against them. They also invest heavily in nuclear energy. They also include CO2 pollution in their industrial calculations. It's an embarrassment that China is more forward thinking than the US and using our own research to further themselves.
